This Tom Eighty Videos branded LED headlamp is one of the coolest things I have seen in lighting for mechanics.  I have been using this for a year now and it is a game changer for having the light directly where you need it and keeping your hands free for working on a vehicle.  Also if you are upside down looking under a dashboard this works perfect and is the only kind of light that will easily shine in the right spot every time.

This light holds a long battery charge and will keep the light shining bright when you need it.  One other cool feature is that you can turn this headlamp on with a button or you can flick a switch that will turn the light on/off with the swipe of your hand across the motion detector.  So this will not only extend you battery life of the device but it will also keep it clean so you dirty hands don't have to get all over it trying to find the power button.
